About me

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I’m a 1960’s Englishman living in the middle of the Somerset countryside.

In 2003 I became interested in 3d photography and started taking my own, visiting local churches in the proccess. I only had one camera at the time so had to choose a subject that didn’t move. Over the years the 3d interest became stronger and I was building up quite a collection. I decided I ought to do something with my growing collection and set myself the challenge of recording all of Somerset’s towns and villages in 3d. Late in 2005 I launched a website to show off the photos calling it Somerset in 3d.

The site has steadily built up a strong world-wide following and i have received lots of feedback from people who also are hooked on 3d photography.

This blog was started originally via Blogspot and was done in an effort to provide some background information to my exploits but, early in 2008, I decided to close the blog as I found it too time consuming.

At the tail end of 2009 3d became very popular and was back in fashion and I thought i should get back to blog world to join in again.

So here we are. If you’re keen on 3d photography please feel free to get in touch and share your methods and favourite websites. If you’re interested in ‘normal’ photography you may be interested in my Flickr page.

Thanks for visiting this blog.
